چکیده
BACKGROUND: The evaluation of postural trunk muscle function is a critical component clinical assessment in patients with musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Postural activation the muscles has been evaluated by various methods. This study evaluates correlation between subjective an objective measurement abdominal wall expansion. METHODS: Twenty-five healthy participants (16 women, 9 men, age 22.4 years) were assessed. was performed two experienced Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) clinicians evaluating quality stabilization using five stability tests through palpation observation. Interrater reliability determined intraclass coefficients (ICC). Objective new device (DNS Brace) which externally measures pressure. Spearman rank correlations calculated for both observation DNS Brace data. RESULTS: interrater (ICC2,k) estimates demonstrated moderate three tests: Hip flexion test, Diaphragm & Intra-abdominal pressure regulation test (IAPRT) (ICC = 0.645–0.707). For measures, good found IAPRT 0.835), reliability: Breathing Stereotype 0.577–0.695). Correlation analysis several to strong brace values (Assessor 1): IAPRT, rs= 0.580, p= 0.002, 0.543, 0.005, 2): 0.776, p< 0.001, Stereotype, 0.625, 0.519, 0.008, Flexion 0.536, 0.006, Arm Elevation 0.460, 0.021. observation, 0.472, 0.017, 2) 0.540, 0.475, 0.016, 0.485, 0.014, Elevation, 0.451, 0.024. CONCLUSION: Based on inter-rater trained professionals, may prove useful when assessing asymptomatic individuals. More research needed order establish utility testing back populations. must be supplemented further examinations definitive decision making.

Correlation Between Functional Balance and Mobility Tests and Postural Sway Measures in Dual Task Paradigm in Parkinson’s Disease (a Pilot Study)
Objective: The present study was aimed to correlate the clinical tests with the laboratory measures under dual task conditions in Parkinson's disease (PD). Materials and Methods: Eleven people with idiopathic PD (Modified Hoehn and Yahr scores 1-3) were selected by simple non-probability sampling. Center of pressure (COP) data obtained by force platform was used to calculate mean total velocity...

Background. To investigate the correlation between intraocular pressure (IOP) fluctuation with postural change and IOP in relation to the time course after trabeculectomy. Methods. A total of 29 patients who had previously undergone primary trabeculectomy with mitomycin C were examined. IOP was obtained at 1, 2, 3, 6, and 12 months and then every 6 months postoperatively. Results. The postural ...

Stability and balance in the elderly are measured using several methods. The purpose of this study was to introduce a new activity based balance index using accelerometer and determine the relationship between this index and postural stability in older woman. Materials and Methods: Ninty-two elderly women were selected and participated in this study. For measuring balanace, One Leg Stance, Berg...
متن کاملcorrelation between symptom score, wheeze, reversibility of pulmonary function tests and treatment response in asthma
asthma management is a major concern because some asthmatic patients either do not respond or else hardly respond to treatment. therefore in the present study, an attempt has been made to determine the predictors of treatment response in asthmatic patients. thirty six asthmatic adults including 13 male and 23 female were studied dur¬ing a 3 month treatment period. asthma symptom score (ss) and ...
متن کاملMechanisms of initial blood pressure response to postural change.
The influence of supine rest on the blood pressure response to standing and 70 degrees head-up tilt was studied in detail for the first 30 s after the change of posture. Following 20 min of supine rest, the active transition to standing was accompanied by an immediate increase in systolic pressure of 29 +/- 6 mmHg (mean +/- SEM). This was followed by large fluctuations in systolic pressure: to ...
